HAWE signs a global cooperation agreement

Parts of a mutual band symbolized the future cooperation of Hengli, HAWE Hydraulik and HAWE InLine Hydraulik.

HAWE Hydraulik SE and Jiangsu Hengli High Pressure Oil Cylinder Co., Ltd signed a global cooperation agreement on the development, production and sale of axial piston pumps on November 12, 2015, in a formal ceremony. As part of the agreement, Hengli will take over the HAWE InLine Hydraulik GmbH production facility in Berlin on January 1, 2016.

This is a win-win situation. Both companies will work closely together in the future in procuring parts for the various sites as well as in selling the products.

Jiangsu Hengli High Pressure Oil Cylinder, an expert in high-volume hydraulic equipment with headquarters in Changzhou, China, specializes in the development, production and sale of hydraulic cylinders, precision investment casting and seals for mobile industrial equipment. The company has a particularly strong interest in the German location and plans to invest heavily in order to substantially expand the plant’s production and business activities. The contract also covers future cooperation in the development of controllers for the axial piston pumps. This step will not change very much as far as the customers for HAWE axial piston pumps are concerned, since HAWE holds the exclusive right to sell these products worldwide outside China and will continue to advise customers and supply them with the entire range of pumps with the customary level of quality and performance.

This comprehensive collaboration between a German and Chinese company is still unusual in the hydraulics sector and demonstrates that the Chinese continue to appreciate the quality of German-made products. In addition, the stakeholders of both companies are not only interested in selling shares but also in cooperating in the areas of purchasing and sales so that all parties can enjoy excellent new opportunities.
